Islamabad: Islamabad civil court on Sunday sent PML-N member National Assembly Anjum Aqeel on one-day transit remand.
According
to media reports, accused in land scam Anjum Aqeel was brought to court
of Kashif Qayyum Sheikh in tight security, where the judge sent him
one-day transit remand.
PML-N MNA would be presented before the Anti Terrorism Court today (Monday).
The
judge also order medical checkup of the MNA on his request, while he
would not be kept at Shalimar police station where his supports escaped
him last Friday.
Media was kept away during the hearing;
however Aqeel got an undersized chance to talk to media where he said
that he had not been arrested by the police but he surrendered himself.
Earlier, after declared a proclaimed offender by the civil
court, PML-N member National Assembly Anjum Aqeel late Saturday
surrendered and presented himself at Kohsar police station. Online
