The Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaaf (PTI) has decided to hold a series of protest demonstrations in Islamabad as part of its “Hakumat Hatao Mulk Bachao” movement to demand mid-term polls under neutral caretaker government,
an independent election commission and new electoral rolls.Announcing decisions of the Central Executive Committee, Khan said that a public meeting would be held in Faisalabad on July 24 and would be followed by a series of demonstrations in Islamabad.“The series of weekend protests would be held before the Islamabad Parliament House in the last week of July and during Ramadan”, the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.
The exact dates would be announced soon, he added.He condemned the Pakistan People’s Party- led government for letting loose a reign of terror in Karachi. He said the bloodbath in Karachi was a reminder of a civil war where killers are fearlessly roaming on streets.
He blamed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for the present mess in the country. ANI
