Interior Minister Rehman Malik told Senate that a security guard of the bank was killed and four others were injured in the suicide blast took place in I-8 Markaz here on Monday.
He appreciated the velour of the security guard who stopped the suicide bomber from entering into the bank.
He also proposed Sitara-e-Shujaat for the martyred security guard.

Referring to Karachi incident in which a youngster was killed at the hands of law enforcing agency, he said the government had taken action within twelve hour and the six Rangers officials have been arrested.
He said that they were produced in the court and were sent on two days remand, adding that the matter is also before the Supreme Court and is prejudice. However, he said investigations into the incident are in progress and reported will be submitted in the House.
Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghouri informed the Senate that four Pakistanis kidnapped by pirates have been released along with six Indians, ten Egyptian and one Sri Lankan due to the efforts of the government.
