Pak-US agree to enhance economic, trade relations

Pakistan and America has agreed to enhance economic and trade relations and it was stated that both countries should work together to achieve the combined goals.
Dialogues between Pakistan and America to enhance the relations took place in Islamabad, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar headed the Pakistani delegation and American delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Thomas Neadirs.
Addressing the joint press conference after the meeting, Hina Rabbani Khar said that Pakistan- America relations are very important and in the current scenario, Pakistan wanted access in international markets to improve the economic conditions and to provide relief to masses.
She said that dialogues took place in very pleasant atmosphere to enhance the economic and trade relations between the two countries, adding that joint resolution of parliament provided chance to government to move forward and Pak-US strategic relations would be reviewed in next phase of dialogues.
Hina Rabbani Khar said that Pakistan and America are working to enhance the mutual relationship between the two countries.
American Deputy Foreign Minister Thomas said that dialogues were constructive and America would keep continues Pakistan’s help, adding that Pakistan and America should work together in the current circumstances.
He said that exchange of delegations between America and Pakistan would improve the relationship and Pakistan rendered great scarifies in war against terrorism and world recognized all scarifies of Pakistan.
He said that America wanted to see progressive and stable Pakistan and to achieve the common goals both courtiers should move forward together, adding that America would help Pakistan in extension of Tarbela dam.
He said that both countries should work collectively for democratic and prosperous Pakistan and Afghan Transit Trade accord is important for regional progress, adding that American regular visits to Pakistan voiced the importance of Pakistan in the American eyes. SANA
