Islamabad: Mr. Khalid Aziz Babar, Pakistan’s Ambassador designate to
Iran, Mr. Hasan Javed, High Commissioner designate to Singapore, and
Mr. Amjad Sial, Ambassador designate to Tajikistan, today called on
President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. They discussed matters
pertaining to their new assignments.
The President felicitated
the newly appointed ambassadors and advised them to focus on further
strengthening bilateral relations and promoting cooperation of the
country with the countries of their respective postings.
He
emphasized that economic diplomacy be pursued vigorously for furthering
economic interests of the country. He said that the business
communities need to be sensitized and encouraged for taking advantage
