US forces operation in Abbottabd to kill Osama challenged in Lahore High Court

LAHORE : US special forces operation to kill the Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.

Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, FO, Information Ministry have been made respondents.
Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate filed a plea in LHC stating the Abbottabad operation was against Pakistan’s sovereignty and right of self determination. Law should take its course against those responsible, it said. It was also prayed the nation had not been taken into confidence in this regard. The government still didn’t inform the nation how Osama was killed, it added.
Ministry of Defence, Interior Ministry, Foreign Office, and Information Ministry have been made respondents.
Meanwhile the Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry would hold the initial hearing of the applications filed by Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate and Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffery to decide about the maintainability of the pleas. SANA
