Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua has dispelled speculation about the security of Pakistan's strategic assets and assured that safety measures are of international standard.
"The speculation about safety of strategic assets is in fact not only motivated but also mischievous", she said at a press briefing.
She said Pakistan and the United States have agreed to co-operate in counterterrrorism efforts, share information and facilitate the Afghan-led process for peace and reconciliation.
Reacting to the US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton's remarks about presence of so-called safe heavens of terrorists in Pakistan, she said the country is suffering due to terrorism and is fully committed to eliminating terrorism and extremism from its soil.
Janjua also said Pakistan has conveyed the U.S., the concerns over drone attacks and violation of sovereignty. (ANI)
