Sindh's Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested six alleged terrorists.
The CID team has also seized six TT pistols, five kilogrammes of hashish and a huge cache of ammunition.
The CID Operations Senior Superintendent of Police, Fayyaz Khan, said the arrested were allegedly linked to Tehrik- e-Taliban Pakistan(TTP) and had been involved in several heinous cases including target killings, robberies, kidnapping for ransom and police encounters.
He also alleged that they funded the militants to help them fight the security forces, The Express Tribune reports.
They were arrested during a police raid in Landhi, Baldia, Hub River Road, Bismillah Colony and Manghopir Road following a tip-off about their locations.
The names of the alleged militants are Haji Saeed Mahmood Mehsud, Syed Ali Shah Mehsud, Mumtaz Ahmed Mehsud, Abdul Khaliq Tokhti, Gul Zaman Afghani and Mohammad Saleem Afghani. (ANI)
