Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has demanded investigations of the PNS Mehran Navy Base attack in Karachi.
Addressing the party workers convention in Mansehra, Nawaz said
Pakistan is under attack both from United States and terrorists and
country’s security is at stake. He said country’s very essence is being
attacked and some hidden forces want to destroy Pakistan and
destabilize it.
Nawaz Sharif reiterated that Parliament unanimous resolution on
Abbottabad incident hasn’t yet been implemented. He opined that he
don’t know why we are afraid of setting a tradition of accountability
in the country and seek excuses.
He said Karachi incident is enough for opening our eyes and the
investigations should be held of this incident. He said that the
country’s sovereignty and pride will be defended at all cost.
He said planes worth billions, equipped with modern technology and
capable of surveillance to the very depth of the ocean have been
destroyed at the PNS Mehran Naval Base. He expressed his resolve to
eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country after taking power.
Nawaz reminded that ten years before there were no terrorism or
suicide attacks in the country instead Pakistan had carried out its
nuclear attacks. He said we are getting alienated in the world and
Pakistan image is being destroyed in the world. He mourned today there
is no value of our passport in the world.
He said even the Abbottabad incident dust had not settled that
Karachi incident has taken place. He paid tribute to the brave soldiers
who embraced martyrdom in the combat against the terrorists in the
Karachi Naval Base attack.
He said world is fast developing while we are on path of decline.
Unemployment is on the rise and our country’s economy is dipping,
industry is at stand still, he said.
He said the callousness shown by the government over Abbottabad
incident is beyond our understanding. Had I been PM of the country and
such an incident taken place I would have set up commission and had
fixed the responsibility of the incidnet. He said nation can’t bear any
such incident anymore.
He said I had presented the idea of Charter of Pakistan one year ago
which was to avoid such incident as that of Naval Base. He however
expressed anger that not only his idea was taken non-seriously but was
also made fun of it.
He said while Abbottabad is attacked we extend our congratulations
to US. This is truly a point of great shame and humiliation for all of
us, he said.
He asked the nation to resolve with him to fight all those forces
which are against Pakistan sovereignty and said we would not hesitate
to sacrifice our lives for the sake of country’s pride. SANA
