PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain, Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Wajahat Hussain and MPA Ch Moonis Elahi, in their petitions,
have requested the Supreme Court to issue directions for instituting criminal cases against Additional Director General FIA Zafar Qureshi on the charge of defaming them with misleading and wrong statements.
They have further pleaded for omitting the fake and misleading remarks of Zafar Qureshi from the proceedings against them that he was receiving life threats from them. They alleged that the biased and partial investigation of Mr Qureshi had been unmasked so the court should issue orders for the appointment of some honest and impartial officer for the investigation into the case.
The different petitions were filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday by renowned lawyers, including Senator SM Zafar, Senator Waseem Sajjad and Senator Khalid Ranjha, on behalf of Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi in the NILC case.
They submitted that the statements of Zafar Qureshi had damaged their reputation and they abided by laws and had not issued threats to anyone.
