ANP backs transporters’ strike

President Awami National Party (ANP), Sindh Chapter, Shahi Syed has backed the strike call given by the transporters on Thursday. He said that the Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) had given the strike call for an undefined period of time against the petroleum price hike.

The government has increased the fuel prices which are not affordable by the public. Meanwhile, the transporters have decided not to put undue financial burden on the people’s shoulders, Syed said.

The transporters have decided not to bring their vehicles on the road and demanded the government to reduce the fuel prices, he further said. ANP is well aware of the public’s problem.
