We will never resort to cheap language: Arbab Alamgir

PESHAWAR: The Federal Minister for Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that we will never resort to undemocratic and cheap language while criticizing our political opponents because we are concentrating all our energies and attention to the service of the people, progress and prosperity of the country and survival of democracy.

He expressed these views while talking to media persons here at the Media Cell NHA Peshawar. He advised the PPP opponents not to malign politics by such tactics because in our view, politics is a sacred duty. Earlier, the Federal Minister remained busy all day long at his constituency, helping out people with the applications regarding different government departments.
The Minister even went from door to door to his voters and made instant efforts to redress their grievances. His residence remained packed with people throughout the day. Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan, while talking to the media, said that anti-democracy forces are again trying to derail democracy and impose dictatorship on the country but the nation, this time, is well aware of their intentions and will not let them succeed because the nation has witnessed the current democracy after a long struggle and the supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
The Minister said that using foul language against the leadership of PPP will not harm us but will rather impair the credibility of our opponents because such extreme terminology is against political and democratic norms.
He said that such unhealthy criticism is easy but serving the people in earnest is a difficult task, hence our opponents have resorted to such a sordid approach. Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil recollected that when the PPP came into power in 2008, it had to start from scratch in its bid to national reconstruction, and today, with the Grace of Allah, we have been able to overcome most of the problems faced by the country.
Arbab Alamgir Khan also clarified the opposition that the PPP Government will complete its term of five years in office and will sweep the next general elections as well because it is the only political force with strong and deep roots in the masses. The Minister also said that the name Bhutto will remain alive in the country for all times to come.
