ISLAMABAD: Former minister for water and power Raja Pervez Ashraf has
said Rental Power Projects (RPPs) were initiated during Faisal Saleh
Hayat tenure and his hands are clean on this count.
He said this while talking to media men after hearing of rental power projects corruption case in Supreme Court Monday.
He
went on to say that corruption allegations levelled against him in
Rental Power Projects case were baseless. This project was started in
2006 during Faisal Saleh Hayat tenure. “I have got good opportunity to
defend my self in Supreme Court. Now facts will also come from my side”,
he remarked.
He stated Faisal Saleh Hayat levelled grave
allegations against the government and then he joined the incumbent
government. The court should be informed as to why these projects were
initiated, he added. Online
