US can help Pak to become strengthen: Munter

US Ambassador in Pakistan Cameron Munter has said that his country could help strengthening Pakistan, adding that the terrorism is an international issue and we should fight the war against terrorism jointly.

Talking to media persons on the occasion of participating interfaith harmony dialogue at the Jamia Salfia her said that US could help Pakistan to become strengthen, adding that we are gathered here to find way how can peace be restored in Pakistan.
U.S. Ambassador Cameron Munter, his wife, Dr. Marilyn Wyatt, and U.S. Consul General Nina Fite participated in an interfaith dialogue at Masjid Al-Qabeer.  Participants included Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and Christian religious leaders.  Ambassador Munter applauded the participants for their efforts to make Pakistan a safer place for worshippers of all faiths, and by doing so building a stronger, more secure, and more prosperous Pakistan.

During the dialogue, the participants discussed ways to promote interfaith community work.  Ambassador Munter reiterated U.S. support for religious freedom and the protection of religious minorities.  The Ambassador noted that Quaid-i-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah himself recognized the importance of freedom of worship to Pakistan’s growth and development.

Participants also discussed the need to increase interfaith work and tolerance in youth.  While at Masjid Al-Qabeer, Ambassador Munter, Dr. Wyatt, and Consul General Fite toured classrooms and met with students. 
The delegation later paid their respects at Ghosia Darbar Shrine.  Interfaith dialogue participants included: Bishop of the Church of Pakistan Rt. Rev. Samuel Azariah, Abdul Qadir Khomash from the Muslim-Christian Federation, ITMP cleric and mosque leader Yasin Zafar, Leader of All Pakistan Hindu Rights Movement Haroon Saryab-Dial, and Chairman Gauranat Narmak Gi Sikh Mission Dr. Mampar Singh.
