Countrywide protest will be held today (Friday) against the Federal Cabinet
decision to accord Most Favoured Nation status to India, on the appeal
of the Jamaat e Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan and other national
leaders.
Protest rallies and demonstrations will be held in big and small
cities and towns of the country while seminars will be held in the
federal and all provincial capitals where prominent leaders would
explain the great harm this step would cause to the country and its
economy.
In a fresh appeal, Syed Munawar Hasan urged the masses to rise above
party politics and come on roads to foil the American conspiracies
against their independence.
The JI chief said that by giving this favour to India, the rulers in
Islamabad would be repeating the history of the East India Company which
had occupied the whole of India under the garb of trade by ousting the
Muslims from power.
He said that trade with India virtually meant surrendering the
country’s independence and sovereignty and accepting the supremacy of
cunning Hindus who had never missed any opportunity of shedding the
Muslims’ blood and harming Pakistan.
He said the Kashmiri Muslims had been facing the tyranny and
oppression of the Hindus for the last fifty years while lakhs of
Kashmiris had been killed only for demanding freedom.
The JI chief said that the brave Pakistani people could face hunger and starvation but would never accept India’s supremacy. SANA
