People not to accept any unconstitutional step: PM Gilani

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that although government has good relationship with establishment but any unconstitutional measure would not be tolerated.

He was talking to the media at Governor House on the occasion of marriage ceremony of the son of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar. He said that there is not any peril for the government, as it would complete its tenure. He said that if anybody wants to come into power, the constitutional way is open for him, but people would not accept any illegal means.
He told the journalists that Hussain Haqqani would arrive Pakistan on Monday (today). The decision would be made after listening his viewpoint, in this regard. The issue of letter could not be stated as danger for the country. The impression of disintegrating the country and damaging the institutions should be abolished.
“Opposition demanded the government for patriotism but we are more loyal to our country than them. Government has no any problem with the establishment. The government has broken the back bone of the terrorists as we got wonderful achievements against them and we are much committed to root out the terrorism”, he added.
Prime Minister said that PPP took over in the very difficult situation. Since then government had to face crises and natural calamites one after another, but it did not lose heart and overcame every challenge with the support of its allies. He said that when USA gave threat to attack on the county, it was the government that united whole nation by convening All Parties Conference (APC). Online
