RAWALPINDI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has directed FIA to
provide copies of supplementary challan and requisite documents to
counsels of accused persons arrested in Benazir Bhutto assassination
case.
Counsel for accused Sher Zaman and Abdul Rashid filed
application saying that details of the witnesses who were to record
their statements, medico-legal reports of victims and statements of
injured persons had not been provided to them by FIA.
Counsel
for the accused persons including Rafaqat Hussain and Hasnain Gul told
the court copies of connected documents and supplementary challan have
not been furnished to him. The court directed FIA to provide the record.
FIA chief prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali while filing
application for the forth time seeking hearing of the case on day to day
basis said if court does not give any decision on these applications
then he will be forced to resort to Supreme Court that it should take
suo motu notice. 4 years have been elapsed since the filing of the case
but it has not been decided so far, he pleaded.
In previous
hearing the court had indicted the accused persons but they had rejected
their indication. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till
