Nawaz again demands judicial commission over secret memo

MANDRA: Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif Saturday warned the government to conduct transparent inquiry into secret memorandum scandal or his party would take this case to the apex court.

Speaking to media persons former Prime Mister said that this was very serious and sensitive issue that could not be ignored adding that if in this case the government tries to hide facts from the nation then PML-N would go to Supreme Court.
He demanded formation of a judicial commission to probe into the issue and report within ten days.
Nawaz suggested that retired judges like Fakhruddin should be given responsibility to inquire the memo case and judiciary also should be taken into confidence while constituting a commission.
He said his party was not afraid of Senate elections adding that it was important part of democratic process that must not be derailed.
He hoped Senate election would take place according to schedule timeframe.
PML-N chief expressed his disappointment over delay in Abbotabad and Saleen Shehzad inquiry commissions.
On a query he demanded the Army Chief Gen. Kiyani should make sure that secret agencies are not interfering in the political system.
