Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the fair elections aren’t possible in presence of President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Punjab CM also said that the PML-N would not accept the elections held under President Zardari.
Talking to a private TV channel, Shahbaz Sahrif said he would not be
silenced by baseless allegations and propaganda against his party and
person. He warned of civil disobedience if fair elections were not held.
He also vowed to purge the country of politics of corruption and
plunder.
He said that the people are fed up with the plethora of problems,
including inflation, unemployment and load shedding. He said that while
the people are suffering, the rulers are busy in their luxuries. He said
that the people would soon come to know who is their well-wisher.
Shahbaz Sharif has been a target of PPP’s scaled-up campaign against
the PML-N since its rejection of Fasih Bokhari as NAB chief. Punjab
Governor Zulfiqar Khosa said yesterday that Shahbaz might have to take a
fresh vote of confidence from the Punjab Assembly. SANA
