Two-day Friends of Democratic Pakistan Workshop to start from today in Ankara

A two-day Friends of Democratic Pakistan Workshop on Institution Capacity Building co-hosted by Turkey will start in Ankara from today (Thursday).

The workshop will consider long-term institutional partnerships between various institutions in Pakistan and their counterpart organizations in FoDP countries.
The workshop will discuss proposals which will be presented by national stakeholders in Pakistan and FoDP members in areas including, agriculture, security, governance, education, technical education, energy and parliamentary institutions.
The meeting will set the future agenda of substantive collaboration between institutions in Pakistan and FoDP countries and organizations.
The twelve-member Pakistan delegation to the Workshop will be led by Chairperson of the FoDP Working Group on Institution Capacity Building ,Senator Syeda Sughra Imam. It will also include heads and senior representatives of different national level organizations and departments.
Senior executives of counterpart organizations in FoDP member countries, their respective development agencies and regional heads of multilateral institutions will also attend the two-day event.
Institution Capacity Building is one of the five clusters of cooperation identified in the first FoDP Ministerial meeting convened in Tokyo in April 2009. SANA
