CJP should take my media statements as petition: Zulfiqar Mirza

ISLAMABAD: Former Provincial home minister of Sindh, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has pleaded that CJP should take his (Mirza’s) media statements as a petition in itself.

Talking to a private TV channel, he requested Supreme Court to take Suo motto notice of his media statements, and ask him to appear in Court. “ I will say nothing but the truth itself,” he averred, requesting that for the sake Pakistan’s integrity, truth, and sufferings of every mother, sister and daughter steps should also be taken to show live coverage of his trail.
He also accused MQM of leveling fake allegations against him, and expressed his great concerns that inhuman politics was being practiced in Federation, with countless fake cases being registered against political leaders, including himself, but the court(s) acquitted him honorably from all cases.
He said that there were 8500 cases of murder, dacoities and kidnappings against a normal activist to head of MQM, Altaf Hussain, and were acquitted through NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance).
He specifically appealed to CJP not to waste time in reviewing corruption cases, and concentrate on retrieving laundered assets.
“ Killings of innocent lives is no doubt a heinous and unpardonable crime, and you should review all cases of murder, acquitted through NRO, which should award deserving death sentence to Altaf Hussain , Farooq Sattar , Governor Sindh, and others” he stated.
He said that a publicly hanging deadbody would deter any future innocent killings by anyone. Online
