DG ISPR Major General Athar Abbas has said that there was unanimity in taking action against Al-Qaeda and their supporters.
According to a private TV channel Athar Abbas said that in the past,
successful operation against terrorists had been conducted with the
help of the CIA.
According to the military spokesman, the army was following Al-Qaeda
operative Younis al-Mauritani since last October and he was captured
with the support of the CIA this week.
Athar Abbas said that last year the army had received information
that a group of terrorists was trying to enter into an African country
and conduct terrorist attacks there.
It is worth mentioning here that on Wednesday two suicide attacks
were carried out at the residence of DIG FC in Quetta, are termed as
the result of arrest of al-Qaeda leader Younis al-Moritani. SANA
