The Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Syed Munawar Hasan has said that the present government has proved to be the mother of crises and the solution of even a single crisis was nowhere in sight.
The country is full of problems but the rulers do not seem to be
serious in solving any of these as all their energies are being spent
on plunder and in protecting their kith and kin involved in corruption,
he said, while talking to different delegations at Mansoora, on Monday.
The JI chief said, the worst type of dictatorship was in force in
the country under the garb of democracy and certain parties and groups
in the government were trying to achieve selfish ends by blackmailing
the PPP. Even the Supreme Court decisions were being flouted to protect
certain individuals, he said.
The country, he said, was facing a serious energy crisis and scores
of industrial units had been closed down due to load shedding.
Agriculture had also been ruined. The prices of POL, electricity and
gas were being raised every month, adding to the worries of the common
man. On the other hand, the luxurious living of the rulers was
continuing.
He especially referred to the plight of the Railways. He said that
all over the world, railways were progressing but the railway in this
country had been destroyed. The government schools were in bad shape as
no body was attending to these.
In Karachi, the blood letting was continuing even during Ramadan and about a dozen people were being gunned down every day.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that a new confrontation had been started on
the issue of new provinces and divergent views were being expressed on
this issue to divert public opinion from the real issues.
The present government, he said, would be completing its three years
in power soon and God alone knew what greater disaster it would bring
in its next two years. SANA
