PML-N decides to oppose creation of new provinces on ethnicity bases

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to strong opposition for the creation of new provinces in the country on the bases of ethnicity, regional and language bases; meanwhile the party has decided to support the creation of new provinces on the bases of administration.

The party also decided to contact other political parties and take them into confidence regarding the matter; meanwhile party has given task to different leaders in this regard.
The meeting of the PML-N Committee on new provinces was chaired by party President Mian Nawaz Sharif and was attended by Raja Zafarul Haq, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Ishaq Dar, Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir, Syed Ghaus Ali Shah, Mushahidullah Khan, Mamnoon Hussain, Lt. Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Jaffer Iqbal Gujjar and Tehmina Daultana.
The committee presented the report to party president regarding the creation of new provinces in the country; meanwhile the committee said that PML-N could not support the creation of provinces on ethnicity bases; rather the party could support creation of provinces on administrative bases.
Party president has satisfaction over the report of the committee regarding the creation of new provinces.
PML-N has decided to present its view point at every forum including parliament; meanwhile the PML-N has demanded of the government to review the suggestion of creation of new provinces in the country on the bases of administration.
Mian Nawaz Sharif stressed the need for making a permanent commission for the creation of new provinces like India.
It is also worth mentioning here that the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan not attended the meeting; although he reached in country on Sunday after six-week long tour of Britain. SANA
