PML-N meeting reaffirms Nawaz’s resolve over new provinces

ISLAMABAD: A special meeting of PML-N convened by its president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, reaffirmed the earlier resolve of Mian Nawaz Sharif over the issue of carving out new provinces.

In the meeting, during which the chairman for special committee established to resolve the issue of forming new provinces, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, presented his initial recommendations over the issue, Mian Nawaz Sharif reiterated his strong resolve to his earlier address to the Parliament; in which he had urged formation of new provinces on administrative basis.
It was announced that PML-N strongly demanded to form a National committee to jointly resolve the consensus of just share of constitutional amendments and resources, with sue consensus of opposition.
The meeting also mulled over the situation of Karachi, whence it was declared that government had tackled some very sensitive and imperative issues of the Province in a very shameful carelessness, during which the government went as far as endeavoring to divide Sindh for its political expediencies.
PML-N announced its strong and full solidarity with Province of Sindh, and expressed its strong resolve to oppose all such endeavors that tend to harm the rights and aspirations of Sindh. Online
