Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has congratulated the nation on
the occasion of Independence Day and said that the basis of our
existence is the “Ideology of Pakistan”, adding that Pakistan Army is
ambitious to defend the national security.
He said this while addressing the Independence Day parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul here on Sunday.
The Chief of Army Staff said that the country is facing a number of
challenges, adding that Pakistan army is ready to defend the national
security.
He said that the basis of our existence is the ideology of Pakistan,
adding that the Islamic principles are the guarantee of progress.
He said that we should always ready to defend the country, adding
that challenges faced by the nation will strengthen its will to counter
these challenges.
He also praised the armed forces of Pakistan for their courage,
determination and professionalism in deploying their duties, adding
that Pakistan army fulfills the expectation of the nation.
He said that Pakistan army joins hands with the nation to overcome the challenges. SANA
