LAHORE: In the honour of poet of the east, and our national hero,
Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a contingent of the Pakistan Army replaced the
guards of the Punjab Rangers.
The ceremony for change of guard
was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal, Lahore to mark Independence celebrations.
Garrison Commander of Pakistan Army Major General Malik Zafar Iqbal was
the chief guest at the ceremony while a contingent of the Pakistan Army
replaced the guards of the Punjab Rangers. Major General Zafar Iqbal
laid floral wreath at the mausoleum of Iqbal and offered prays for the
progess of the nation. He also noted his expressions in the book on the
