MULTAN: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that
government is taking steps to remove the sense of inferiority of
Southern Punjab.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a
flyover here in Multan on Sunday. He said that PPP took hard decisions
so as to save coming generation from difficulties. Democratic
government has restored institutions. He said that now they will carry
out legislation for the empowerment of women.
Prime Minister
said that the reconcillation policy of PPP could not be taken as its
weakness .Nobody might even think that PPP would leave Pakistan after
weaken it rather government would make the country stronger. He said
that PPP government would never do any work against the aspirations of
people.
“We tried to remove the deprive of Southern Punjab and
Multan right from the PPP government was established in the country. He
said Pakistan faces the menace of terrorism and the whole nation would
have to face it. People as well as army gave a lot of sacrifices in the
war against terrorism . He said that alone a person can not drag out
the country out of crises but for this purpose the whole nation would
has to be united”, he added.
Gilani informed the gathering that
the he had constituted a manifesto committee to form separate province.
Further measures would betaken in this regard under the light of report
of the committee. He said that the government gave autonomy to the
