Without adopting awareness, preventive measures hepatitis could not be overcome; Salahuddin

Hepatitis spread like AIDS but it could be overcome by adopting preventive measures and running awareness campaign in the masses.

There it is need to update the people how they could be saved from this diocese. The Principal Post Graduate Medical Institution Professor Tariq Salahuddin said wile talking to media over issue of hepatitis on world hepatitis day.
He said that a walk and seminar would be held today (Thursday) in General Hospital. Prophesier of Medicine Dr, Ghiasudinn Nabi, MS of the Hospital Dr. Zaffer Ikram and Prophesier Asrar-ul-Haq was also president on the occasion.
Dr Salahuddin said that the hepatitis is spreading fatally in the third world countries because the people of these countries are not aware about the disease. He said that it is the responsibility of medical staff that the dispose off the syringes properly after used it.
He said that medical staff should make it sure that the blood is screened before they transfer it to any patient. Similarly the dentists should sterilize their instruments properly to save the people from this disease.
Dr Asrar-ul-Haq said that the hepatitis causes from five different type of virus. Hepatitis A is the initial stage of this disease and it enters into the body through diet and water and B. C.D enter in the body through the used siring and blood transferring. He said that the hepatitis B, C, and D, is very dangerous and it may cause death.
He said that every 10th person in Pakistan is facing the different types of hepatitis. He said that all types of hepatitis can be recovered through proper treatment.
Dr Zaffar Ikram said that the government has started the vaccination of the children but there is need to vaccination to the children of big age and adults also. SANA
