Turkish anti-piracy ships to visit Karachi from July 1

Turkish Maritime Task Group (TMTG), that is conducting anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden, will visit Karachi from July 1-4. The TMTG is providing naval escorts to Turkish and non-Turkish flagged vessels passing through the Gulf of Aden, with an aim to facilitate international efforts at providing protection to merchant vessels.
The group that comprises three frigates (FFGH) - TCG BARBAROS (F-244), TCG GEMLIK (F-492), TCG GELIBOLU (F-493) - and  one logistics support ship (AOR) - TCG YB.KUDRET GšNG™R (A-595).
A press conference will be held onboard Flag Ship TCG BARBAROS (F-244) on July 2.
