Supreme Court on Wednesday disposed off the case regarding the post retirement benefits of the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Sajjad Ali Shah.
An eleven member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice
Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry conducted the hearing of the case. Court
ordered to remove any doubt present in this regard.
Former chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah maintained that he is being
granted the benefits of an ordinary judge instead of chief justice.
Attorney General justyice (retd) Maulvi Anwarul Haq presented a
government report before the court which said that Sajjad Ali Shah
would be given the benefits of chief justice.
Sajjad Ali Shah had filed a review petition in Supreme Court asking
for additional benefits of a former chief justice along with pension to
be granted to him. SANA
