At least 14 people were lost their lives and more than 20 others injured as the roofs of houses collapsed in different areas of the country in the result of the heavy rains here on Wednesday.
According to details, near the Naykial Bridge Nain Sikh Chowk Lahore
roof of a truck stand collapsed resulting the deaths of three persons
and injury of 12 others, which were shifted to hospitals for the
medical aid and it was learnt that five of them were in the critical
condition.
Meanwhile in another incident of roof collapse in the result of the
heavy rain three persons in Rohi Nala area were killed and one person
was injured. The killed include husband, wife and their child.
On the other hand, three children and their mother were killed in
Sahiwal as a roof of the house was collapsed due to continuous heavy
rain.
Rescue workers told that the dead bodies of Arslan (18), Bhuran (10)
and 13 years daughter were recovered from the wreckage of house.
In another incident in Haroonabad a water tank fell from the rooftop due to winds and in the result a girl was killed.
In another incident in Bajour agency two children were killed and
eight others wounded as the roof of a house fell down due to rain. SANA
