Tornado strikes New Zealand's largest city, 1 killed, 14 injured

BEIJING - A tornado has torn through New Zealand's largest city, Auckland, killing one person and injuring 14. The tornado first struck the northern suburb of Albany, with damage centered on a shopping mall, before it moved south, leaving heavy destruction.
Most of the serious damage was in Albany, where a shopping mall, a large hardware store and supermarket were hit. New Zealand experiences about 20 tornadoes a year, but most are relatively small, and fatalities rare. Xinhuanet
