60 Malaysian-Indian women held in foreign prisons

Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay has said 60 Indian women belonging to his country are held in foreign prisons for various crimes.
The Star quoted Pillay as saying that they were among 1,883 Malaysians jailed overseas.
Out of the total number, about 200 are women, 30 percent of whom are Indians.
Pillay also said that many of those arrested were in the 20-35 age group, and were duped into becoming drug couriers.
He also warned that an international syndicate is operating in Malaysia to convince pretty girls to become drug dealers. (ANI)
