LAHORE: Special Judge (banking offences) Abdul Rasheed on Tuesday adjourned
the hearing by May 12 of the NICL scam case against PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi,
son of former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, as the Prosecution could not submit
complete challan against the accused.
On Tuesday, the FIA authorities produced Moonis Elahi before the court amid
tight security. Despite taking extra time in last hearing, the FIA could not
submit complete challan against Elahi in this hearing also. The Court directed
the FIA officials to submit complete challan against Moonis on the next hearing.
The FIA had lodged two FIRs against PML-Q MPA Moonis Elahi, alleging that his
Manger Muhammad Maalik opened forged accounts in the Allied Bank Limited New
Airport and Dubai Islamic Bank Main Boulevard branches. Mohsin Warriach had
deposited Rs. 320 million and 220 million into the first account and 100 million
into the second account.
First FIR was registered on December 27, 2010 while second was lodged on
