"For us it is a matter of taking small steps at a time to convince the cricket world that despite the security issues
Pakistan is capable of hosting international teams safely," he
added.
Sources said the PCB planned to convince other boards to
send their junior and second-string teams to Pakistan on
regular basis during the ICC executive board meeting scheduled
in June in Hong Kong. "The PCB officials will be meeting with other board
officials on the sidelines of the board meeting to get them to
send their junior and A teams to Pakistan. In this sense the
visit by the Afghanistan team is a big plus point for us," one
source said. While the Pakistan senior team has a packed international
calender until mid next year and are content playing their
"home" matches at neutral venues, the source said the PCB
wanted to revive some unofficial international cricket in
Pakistan as well. PTI
