RAWALPINDI : First phase of dialogue to talk about the Sircreak border’s disputed boundary between Pakistan and India held here on Friday.
According to sources, first phase of dialogues was positive and constructive. General S Sabha Rao is leading delegation from India and Admiral Shah Sohail Masood is heading the Pakistani delegation in the on going dialogues.
According to statement of foreign office, these dialogues are part of restored composite dialogues in March.
It is stated in the statement that Pakistan gives importance to dialogues with India and wanted to solve all matters through dialogues.
It is worth mentioning here that dialogues in the past were not able to solve this dispute between two important countries of the region. Sircreak area is 100 km area between the Sindh and Indian state Gujrat. Because of this dispute, both countries are not able to utilize this area for the search of oil and gas.
Another point of this disputed area is that fishers from both countries are arrested for the violation of disputed boundary area.
Eight members in the form of delegation are in the Pakistan to discuss the matter in details with Pakistan to solve the issue because different organizations of fisher representatives had the view that dispute between the borders is creating many problems for fishers of both countries. SANA
