Commission on Abbottabad incident to be set up soon: Rehman Malik


Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that an independent commission on Abbottabad incident would be constituted in a day or two.“No single political party but the parliament is to be credited with the constitution of the independent commission on Abbottabad incident,” he said while talking to the media after paying condolences to the family of martyr Lieutenant Yasir Abbas here Sunday.The Minister said that the attackers of PNS Mehran Base are enemies of the country as well as the nation, urging politicians to avoid point-scoring on terrorist activities.He urged the political parties to play their vital role in fostering harmony in the country by setting aside their differences.
Malik said that it seems that Taliban have intensified their activities against Pakistan after the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
The Interior Minister hinted at joint operations with the US against high-value operations in future inside Pakistani territory.
He also announced a cash prize of Rs 5 million for providing information about the PNS Mehran base assailants.
Earlier, the Interior minister visited the residence of PNS Mehran Base martyr Lieutenant Yasir Abbas to condole with his family and offered fateha for the departed soul.
Eulogizing the bravery of Martyr Assayer Abba, Rehman said that the brave soldier has saved the country from a great catastrophe and the country is proud of her heroes. APP
