Six American engineers have been included into the PNS Mehran
terrorist attack investigation, the investigation team suspected the
engineers to provide support for terrorist attack on Naval Airbase.
The officials of investigation team termed internal source of
information as a key for the success of the PNS Mehran terrorist
attack, the team further explained that attack would have not been
possible without the internal information.
According to sources, Pakistan Navy officials have decided to
appoint a naval officer as a coordinator to assist police officials
during the investigation, adding that until the appointment of naval
coordinator, the police officials were not given excess to the naval
base.
The investigation team made it clear that PNS Mehran security
measures could not breached until the information were transferred from
the people, who were working in the base, adding that the suspected
American engineers provided the information to terrorists.
Whereas, the police officials were still not permitted to enter into
the Naval Air Base for investigation, sources said that the Navy
establishment had decided to assist the police investigation team and a
Navy officer will be appointed for the complete assistance during the
investigation process.
