ISLAMABAD: Taliban said Saturday that failure in Afghanistan forced
US promoting unaccountable local militia comprising of hired gunmen in
the country to avenge their defeat in future by spreading turmoil in
Afghanistan.
In an e-mail message from unknown location
somewhere in Afghanistan, Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that
the recent assertions made by some generals of the foreign invading
forces that are pursuing a strategy of expanding the number of hired
gunmen in the country and of creating more unaccountable local militias
under various names.
“This in itself confirms the weak and frail
state faced by the invaders because maintaining the security of an area
by local militias is the very sign of fragility and failure,” he added.
These are the same militias which were being disarmed by them
ten years ago under the DDR initiative but today find them a necessity
and are empowering them, he said.
The spokesman further said the
decision can only mean that all the other maneuvers and tactics used in
Afghanistan have been futile and the decade of strategies and plans
have not only failed but have declined to the extent that they are now
repeating the failed experiences of the Soviet Union as it was about to
collapse.
Mujahid said that by creating and expanding militias
they are clearly laying the groundwork for arousing local disagreements
and it seems as if they cannot properly fit themselves in the future of
Afghanistan which is a clear testimony of their weak and declining
state.
“That is why for the purpose of attaining final revenge
from the Afghans while on the brink of defeat, they are trying to
exploit and use the different tribes and regions of the nation against
each other.
“ The purpose behind this colonial process by both
Russia and American is one and the same which is to strike Afghans by
the hands of Afghans; the continuation of its stooge regime and then
utilizing them to commit those crimes which they are no longer able to
do themselves,” he said .
He pointed out that just like how the
other militias failed to protect the previous stooge communist regime
despite their brutalities and savagery, “these ones will also face
failure, Allah Willing”.
He urged the religious scholars and tribal elders and other known figures with followers to block this notorious process.
In
his words, “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns this ominous plan
of the enemy with the strongest of words and considers it as a push of
our country towards destruction.”
He also called upon the
international human right groups and organizations to prevent the
occupying countries from leaving behind discord in our country as they
face defeat besides Taliban determining to stop to push the country into
a situation where life and honour of civilians would be under threat. Online
