The inquiry commission constituted for probe of US operation in Abbottabad held its meeting here on Monday and recorded statements of journalists, analysts and anchorpersons.
Senior anchorperson Hamid Mir, civilian military analyst Ayesha
Siddiqa and senior journalist Imtiaz Gul appeared before the commission
and recorded their statements. They exchanged information regarding the
May 2 operation with the commission.
Commission head Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal complained that some
anchors did not share information that they usually do on-screen during
their shows.
The commission reviewed other details of the investigation carried
out so far in the May 2, 2011 incident that killed Al-Qaeda chief Osama
bin Laden (OBL) by the US forces.
The meeting was chaired by justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and was attended by others members of the commission. SANA
