ISLAMABAD: To calm down the aggressive people, Federal Minister for
Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar has come to another deadline of two
days to end the prolonged load shedding in the country. He claimed that
the current wave of electricity load shedding will come to an end
within couple of days.
He was speaking on the ongoing power crisis in the National Assembly session on Monday.
The
federal minister said that payments would be made to private power
firms within two days. “If the problem of circular debt is resolved,
some 2, 000 MW of electricity will add to national grid,” he added.
It
is vital to mention here that the country is once again passing through
the worst time with shortage of up to 6,000 mega watt electricity. The
masses across the country particularly in Punjab took to streets to
record their protest against the excessive load shedding. Online
