ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said implementation of
decisions taken in All Parties Conference (APC) will be ensured.
He
said this during his meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chief of JUI-F
here at Aiwan-e-Sadr Monday. The two discussed overall political
situation of the country, decisions taken in APC, improvement in
relations between PPP and JUI-F and other matters of national interest.
Well-placed sources said President Zardari said the country was
passing through critical juncture of its history and the decisions
taken by political forces together bear testimony they could counter
every major challenge and ensure national security and integrity by
working in unison. Democratic government would give top priority to
national security and solidarity of the country, he held.
Sources
told Online President Zardari said PPP believed in the politics of
reconciliation and this policy would continue. “We respect mandate of
JUI-F”, he added.
Sources said Maulana Fazlur Rehman apprised
the president of his concern over the allegations levelled by
Afghanistan about killing of former Afghan President Burhan-ud-Din
Rabbani and held out assurance to President Zardari of every possible
cooperation to ensure national security and integrity. Online
