Suicide blast leaves 11 dead in Quetta

QUETTA: At least 11 people were killed and over a dozen wounded when a powerful bomb went off outside Hazara Eidgah in Quetta on Eid day.

Four women and two children were also among the dead.
The blast took place on Gulistan Road in front of Hazara Eidgah a few moments before the start of Eid prayers.
About 10 cars caught fire after the explosion, which also damaged nearby houses.
Rescue teams reached the scene and shifted the dead and the wounded to nearby hospitals.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started investigation.
According to bomb disposal squad, 40-kg explosives were used in the blast.
Quetta Azadari Council has announced weeklong mourning against the blast.
In separate statements, Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) and Jafria Alliance (JA) have condemned the terrorist attack.
