LAHORE: Four men suspected in the kidnapping of the son of former
Governor Punjab Salman Taseer apprehended by police in Gulberg area
whereas residents of slum area protested against frequent raids.
According
to a local TV, Police arrested four men namely Javed, Munawar, Vicky
Sarwar and Ijaz suspected in Shahbaz Taseer’s kidnapping. One of them
was tortured as well.
Residents of the slum area of Gulberg
Town blamed police of cutting the padlocks and stealing away valuables
from the locked houses. They protested against police’s illegal raids
and people raised slogans as well. They demanded of higher authorities
