ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that no efforts should be spared by the Ministry of religious affairs to provide maximum facilities to intending pilgrims.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Shah called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at his Parliament House Chamber this afternoon and apprised him about the Hajj arrangements made by Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with Saudi authorities, Embassy of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia and Directorate of Hajj. Later on, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani met Federal Minister for Postal Services Sardar Umar Gorgage at his Parliament House Chamber this afternoon and informed him about the initiatives taken by his Ministry to improve postal services on affordable basis.
In addition, Minister of State for Housing & Works Raza Hayat Hiraj called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani later in the afternoon and discussed matters pertaining to his Ministry. The Minister of State informed the Prime Minister that Ministry of Housing has undertaken various housing projects to provide residential accommodation to government servants in view of the acute shortage of houses in Islamabad. The Minister of State also informed about the pace of development of infrastructure in the Federal Capital in view of the rising demands of the residents of the Capital city. Online
