Senior Pakistan People’s Party leader Makhdoom Amin Faheem wanted to quit his party when Prime Minister’s post was not given to him and he refused to announce the President Zardrai’s nominated prime minister name.

According to Wikileakes, President Zardari had offered Amin Fahim any ministry of his choice or the post of speaker of National Assembly, if Amin Fahim announced the name of nominated Prime Minister but Amin Fahim rejected this offer.
Wikileakes reveled that Amin Fahim did not seek N W Peterson’s help directly to become a primer but wanted to seek help form the American Ambassador to nominate him as a prime minister, Adding that Fahim gave an impression to the US ambassador that president Pervez Musharraf and MQM supported him.

Wikileaks also revealed that Amin Fahim wanted to support Pervaiz Mushraf by quitting himself form PPP and Fahim deemed Zardari as an outsider, adding that Pervaiz Mushraf had proposed premiership to Fahim in 2004 if he quits PPP.
