KARACHI: The former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Shahid Khan
Afridi has said that he does not want any clash with Pakistan Cricket
Board (PCB) and is ready to play under the captaincy of any player but
he cannot play the game anymore under the present circumstances.
While
addressing a press conference here on Monday he said that the he would
not politicize the game of cricket. He said that he had no differences
with the coach Waqar Younis.
“I just said that each quarter should perform its duty without interfering any other’s jurisdiction”, he added.
He
said that there were many players who had different sorts of problems
but he came back to Pakistan to get his due right that is No Objection
Certificate (NOC) from PCB to play cricket abroad as he wants to play
cricket but could not represent the country in prevailing conditions.
“I want to finish my career with honour and not with taking the blames on my shoulders.
I
never quarreled for the captaincy. I am ready to play under the junior
most players like Umer Akmal or even Asad Shafiq”, the cricketer added.
He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met him at dinner Sunday
night, Nawaz Sharif also telephoned him. Some other high profile
personalities also desire to resolve the matter but he did not like to

association in Pakistan as many cricket playing nations have already
players’ unions.
He was of the opinion that provision of
earning was the blessing of God and no one could stop it because
Almighty Allah gives direct to the man. He said that playing county
cricket in UK was his right and he came there to take NOC. “When I feel
that I am not playing well, I would quit cricket”, he added by thanking
