Chief Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) Maulana Samiul Haq has
said that if the government stopped NATO supplies as per the
recommendation of Parliament’s unanimous resolution and came out of the
US war on terror, he was ready to guarantee that there would be no
terrorist attacks in the country.
Talking to a news website, Maulana Samiul Haq, who is considered as the mentor of Afghan Taliban, reiterated his offer to mediate between Tehrik-e–Taliban Pakistan and the government to end the ongoing blood bath in the country.
When asked about his recent offer to mediate between the government and the Taliban, the hardcore cleric, who enjoy greater influence on Taliban especially Afghan Taliban, said that he was thousand times ready to offer his services for bringing peace to the country.
Samiul Haq said that there were some elements among Taliban ranks, which were ready to enter into serious negotiation with the government. However, for this, it is necessary the government must come out of US influence.
He accused US of sabotaging agreements and negotiations between Taliban and government in the past.
Replying a question, he said that some elements in Taliban ranks were caring terrorist attacks in the country and that there were many groups, who had penetrated into the loose alliance of Taliban and they were carrying out terrorist activities on foreign dictates. SANA
