4 burns to death as shopping mall blaze in capital

At least four persons have been burnt to death and two other injured in shopping plaza blaze in Blue Area, a private TV reported on Monday.

According to details, suddenly fire broke out in Blue Area’s Fayyaz Plaza and rapidly engulfed a complete floor of the building.
Many people were trapped inside on blazing floor of the building. Owing to rapidly spreading fire four persons burnt to death while two others sustained burn injuries.
Among the killed persons were included Zakirullah, Kalimullah, Sarwar Shah, and Suleman Rahim Jaan. Both injured, Sabir and Liaqat, were rescued by common people present on the site.
The rescue teams rushed to the burning plaza, moved the dead bodies, and injured to the hospital while fire brigade and CDA staff reached on the site and started efforts to control the fire.
People present on the scene informed that the fire brigade managed to control the fire after one and half hour’s constant efforts.
The fire has damaged the plaza badly while goods worth million of rupees were burnt to ashes inside the building.
Causes of fire are not known yet but they are being sorted out by the investigation team. SANA
